Getting a BIGGER PIE is one of the most important concepts that you need to understand in order to run a super profitable brokerage office. This is really the secret of a successful office. This concept can also be used as a phenomenal recruiting tool and is covered in that respect under “Recruiting”.
You don’t really need a larger piece of the pie, you need a bigger pie. Think about it. Operation costs are relatively fixed. If you have 10 or 100 agents, costs are about the same. But, the number of agents affect your profitability. GET MORE AGENTS.
80% split with 10 agents. That’s how it is. It’s all relevant. You don’t make much.
BUT, if you go to 90% split or flat fee with 50 agents. Cost goes down, your percentage is the smaller, but you have a LARGER PIE so you get more money. Don’t look for ways to cut expenses. You always need to be growing. The larger you are, the more profitable you will become.
