What happens if interest rates rise? If interest rates rise, many home buyers are going to be priced out of the market. AFFORDABILITY is the key. The most limited supply is “starter” homes. Investors are competing for them. This is not profitable for new construction. The issue is, there are no starter homes now – no opportunity to build equity. This means no “trade up” home later!
Baby Boomers retiring and downsizing – will be trying to sell “trade up” homes but who will buy them? (no demand = falling prices…)
